Subject-Line Protocol
In our e-mail communications, we should consider using subject-line protocols to speed communications. For example, if no reply is needed, indicate so or simply type “NRN.” Or, if a response is needed by a particular date and time, indicate something like “NRB 2/26 10:00 a.m.” Or in some instances, we can use the subject line for the whole message, such as “Meet Monday 11:30 a.m. at Rush Creek? End.”
